How to Unlock Mercenaries

Mercenary Diablo IV

They are marked with a purple questmarker and you can start unlocking them as soon as you get to the Mercenary Den in the Campaign. You will start with one, but I highly recommend unlocking at least 1 one mercenary, if not all of them. You will actually be asked to unlock them all after you finish the campaign, so you might as well do it and you can pick out the one you want to use.

Why unlock at least one second one? You can use a second mercenary as a Reinforcement. Make sure to talk to your second one and hire them as a Reinforcement, then enter the Mercenary panel (Shift+M) and configure them. You can pick out an ability for them and then set a condition for them to use it. For instance, you can have Raheir step in and taunt enemies when you get Injured (when your health gets low).

Note that reinforcement functions even when you're in a party!

How to find Angelbreath in Diablo IV

Angelbreath is hard to get; it comes mainly from doing World Events and Whispering Caches, so make sure to get out into some Helltides and do the Whispers and Events. There are also nodes around; and lastly, you can get them from Cellars, so make sure to do an occasional one, especially if it's marked with a Whisper. You'll also get some from Legion Events.

Whispering Caches might be the best way for these (which funnels from doing other stuff in the world, so that's probably the best way).

Additionally, a recent hotfix increased the drop rates of the herb from Bosses and Elites.

How to find Ancestral Items

Ancestral Items Diablo IV

These only start dropping in Torment difficulty, so you can't find them earlier. They are quite more rare than they used to be. The easiest way for guaranteed ones is to go for Infernal Hordes, which you need a Compass to trigger.

Farm up the waves and open the grand equipment chest for 200 Aether and you should find at least 1 guaranteed Ancestral and some Uniques that only drop from this activity.

How to find Forgotten Souls in Diablo IV

At the moment, they are fairly difficult to come by; they drop from Tormented Chests in Helltides (3 drop from regular, and 9 from Mystery ones). So that might be one of the more reliable ways of getting them. You no longer get them from salvaging, even Ancestral Legendary items.

How to find Tributes and Bargains

You can get Tributes from other activities such as Whispering Caches or Nightmare Dungeons. The drop rate doesn't seem great, even from Caches; perhaps Nightmare Dungeons are better for this.

You don't have to use a Tribute for the new Kurast Undercity dungeon (basically, a time-attack dungeon), but you won't get a lot of loot that way. You should come in with a Tribute, which can customize what kind of rewards you'll get, so you can tailor this to your liking.

Once you have a Tribute, you can additionally Bargain to get even more rewards.

How do I level up Paragon Glyphs now?

Glyph diablo IV leveling how to

Paragon Glyph experience only comes from doing the Pit. It's no longer coming from Nightmare Dungeons. So whenever you're up for it, just glide through a relatively easy level; the higher level your glyphs, the lesser chance there is to level them, so scale your Pit accordingly. Get your glyphs up to a good spot sequentially.

You need to complete a Pit 10 levels higher to guarantee a rank up for your Glyph, but you don't necessarily have to; it won't be a guaranteed skill up, though.

What is the max level in Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred?

The max level for your character is now 60, and that's when the Paragon journey begins. You can get 71 skill points in the campaign (don't forget to farm Renown in the new region to earn additional ones).

Paragon points reach 300, and they are account wide, so they work for all your characters.

Oh, also, always have a Seething Opal on, at all times while playing; you can have an Elixir at the same time, as well. Don't forget to equip yourself with an awesome SteelSeries gaming headset as well.
